Fellowships Advising

                           

Many CUA students continue their studies or professional training with funding won in fellowship, scholarship, and grant competitions. Within the University Honors Program, we offer Fellowships Advising for all parts of the application process for nationally competitive scholarships, fellowships, and grants that require university endorsement.

For more information about these individual programs and the specific application process at CUA, please follow the links below.

Boren Awards: For current students planning to study abroad in countries and in languages that are critical to U.S. national security, but less commonly taught. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must agree to government service after the award. 

Fulbright U.S. Student Program: For seniors, recent graduates, or graduate students to fund one year of research or an English Teaching Assistantship in one of numerous participating nations.

Marshall Scholarships: For seniors or recent graduates to fund one or two years of graduate study in any field at a university in the United Kingdom.

George C. Mitchell Scholars Program: For seniors or recent graduates to fund one year of graduate study in any field at designated universities in Ireland.

Rhodes Scholarships: For seniors or recent graduates to fund one or two years of graduate study in any field at Oxford University.

Truman Scholarships: For juniors to fund graduate study in a public service field.

Udall Scholarships: For sophomores or juniors interested in the Environment, Tribal Policy, or Native Health Care.

Important Dates

5 March 2018 (TBD 2019): On-campus deadline for Udall Scholarships.

End of Spring 2018 Semester: Deadline for Intent to Apply Forms for Fulbright, Marshall, Mitchell, and Rhodes programs.

27 August 2018: Mandatory on-campus deadline for the Marshall Scholarship and the George C. Mitchell Scholars Program.

12 September 2018: Mandatory on-campus deadline for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and the Rhodes Scholarship.

15 January 2019: Mandatory on-campus deadline for Truman Scholarships and Boren Awards.

On Campus Sessions

Thursday 18 January 2018: Fulbright and Boren Information Session, Pryzbyla 327 (5pm-6pm).
 
 Thursday 15 March 2018: Fulbright, Marshall, Truman, and Boren Information Session, Pryzbyla 351, (5pm-6pm).
